With BlechReiz and QuartenSpringer: a special brass experience in Bestwig

Bestwig. Sauerland-Herbst, the major international brass festival, is making a stop in the municipality of Bestwig - with a very special concert: BlechReiz is the name of the brass quintet that will ignite a fiery musical crossover on Wednesday, 29 October, in the town hall and town hall - eliciting hot sounds from the cold brass.

BlechReiz consists of five creative young people who explore the boundaries of chamber music with humour and emotion. They already impressed audiences with their philosophy in their Sauerland autumn debut in 2021: any kind of music can be moving and captivating; it is not the genre, but rather the emotion that brings the music to life. The audience is in for a surprise: From meditative tones to self-composed works for brass quintet, from cabaret and vocal numbers to crossover pieces and hits.

In co-operation with the German Music Council, award-winning young musicians have been invited to perform at the concert: Four young "QuartenSpringer" will present their skills on special recommendation as part of the Sauerland Autumn. The quartet achieved first place with the highest number of points in the "Jugend Musiziert" competition at national level in 2023 and received a special prize for their outstanding performance.

The concert offers an exciting evening of music between serious and light music, between soaring trumpets and deep tuba abysses on the way to the ultimate peak of enjoyment.

For Bestwig's mayor Ralf Péus, the Sauerland-Herbst events have been more than just an insider tip for many years: "This festival is always a real experience - and it shows how varied, exciting and diverse brass music is." He is therefore all the more delighted that a few days before the end of his term of office, a high-calibre and entertaining concert is taking place in the town hall: "Anyone who enjoys music and the best entertainment will be thrilled by BlechReiz."

The concert begins on Wednesday, 29 October, at 7.30 pm in the Great Citizens' Hall of the Town Hall; admission is from 6.30 pm. Admission costs 27 euros for adults in advance (box office 30 euros) and 17 euros for young people, apprentices and students (box office 20 euros). Tickets are available online at https://www.sauerland-herbst.de/tickets-kaufen/, at the Tourist-Info Meschede and at Olsberg-Touristik.
