Underground adventures: cool tip for hot holiday times

The summer holidays are starting and the Sauerland Visitor Mine is looking forward to welcoming lots of guests, young and old. The visitor mine is a good place to visit whatever the weather. In the summer heat, the pleasant 10 degrees Celsius in the mine offer a welcome cool-down.

Visitors should therefore remember to bring a warm jacket and sturdy shoes, otherwise it can quickly become too cold, especially for children. Smocks are no longer issued. And if it should rain, the mining museum has a dry place ready. These are particularly popular during the holidays.

The museum team therefore recommends booking for the underground tours during the holidays. As places are limited, entry cannot be guaranteed without a reservation. Reservations can easily be made online at https://www.etermin.net/sauerlaender-besucherbergwerk.

In addition, workshops are offered for holiday children on Fridays during the NRW holidays. There are still places available. Dates, information and registration online at https://www.sauerlaender-besucherbergwerk.de/veranstaltungen/.

Further information is also available for interested parties at https://www.sauerlaender-besucherbergwerk.de/ or by telephone on 02905-250.
