Second Ramsbeck mountain gnome parade: creative event for everyone at the museum
Ramsbeck. The Sauerland visitor mine in Ramsbeck invites all young and old craft enthusiasts to a very special event on Saturday, 13 September. Participants can get creative and design their own mountain gnomes. There are no limits to the imagination: whether colourfully painted, printed or glued - every gnome is welcome.
How it works: Dwarf templates can be downloaded from the Internet and brought along. The children can simply download various templates for the mountain gnomes from the homepage of the Sauerland Visitors' Mine and then make their gnomes at home. The templates can be found at www.sauerlaender-besucherbergwerk.de.
There is also a craft activity in the museum: Alternatively, boys and girls can make and paint their mountain gnomes directly in the Sauerland Visitors' Mine on Saturday, 13 September from 10 am to 5 pm under supervision. The museum team will provide all the necessary materials free of charge.
Regardless of whether the children make their gnomes at home and bring them with them or make them on site in the museum under supervision - they can then set up their self-designed gnomes in the museum above ground. Together, the participants create a colourful dwarf landscape in the mining museum on this day. The museum team will take photos of the dwarf parade. The children can later discover their gnomes on the museum's website as well as on the Facebook and Instagram pages.
But that's not all: every child who makes a mountain dwarf before 1 pm or brings a self-made dwarf will receive free entry to the mine at 1 pm on this day. This mine tour is particularly child-friendly and is aimed at families with children.
In order for the museum team to be able to plan, please register by phone on 02905/250 or by email to info@sauerlaender-besucherbergwerk.de. Please note: Free admission is only available to children with their miner.
