Registration dates for future first-graders for 2026/27 are approaching
Bestwig. Future first-graders for the 2026/27 school year must be registered soon. This applies to parents whose child was born between 1 October 2019 and 30 September 2020. Parents/guardians must register their soon-to-be first-graders in person at a primary school of their choice. They must bring the child's birth certificate or the family register as well as the vaccination card with proof of measles protection. In the case of guardianship or sole custody, appropriate proof must be presented.
There are three primary schools in the municipality of Bestwig. All three schools offer different forms of childcare beyond normal school hours. Information is available at the schools or in an information sheet given to parents with the enrolment invitation. All children are invited to a "school play" by the respective primary school as part of the enrolment process. This school play gives an impression of the child's linguistic ability and other learning requirements.
The Andreas-Schule in Velmede offers personal registration on Monday, 27 October, from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm and on Tuesday, 28 October, from 8 am to 10 am. At this appointment, further formalities, information on care and support and any questions will be clarified with the parents/guardians. The presence of the child is not mandatory for enrolment. If you are interested, you can register for OGS or childcare online at Sozialwerk. On Tuesday, 28 October at 6 pm, an information evening will be held on the subject of OGS and childcare at Andreas Schule.
Future first-graders can register for the Sengenberg primary school in Nuttlar on Monday, 27 October, from 8 to 10 a.m. and from 1 to 4.30 p.m. and on Tuesday, 28 October, from 8 to 10 a.m.. Any questions can be clarified at this time. The presence of the child is not mandatory for enrolment. Appointments for the school play will be made during registration.
Registration can also be made in writing or by post at the Andreas-Schule in Velmede and the Grundschule am Sengenberg in Nuttlar between 27 and 29 October. It is mandatory to fill in the student form and provide a valid and contactable telephone number and e-mail address. The school will contact the parents/guardians and arrange an appointment for the school play and registration interview.
Registration at the Wilhelmine-Lübke-Schule in Ramsbeck is possible on Monday, 27 October, Tuesday, 28 October, Thursday, 30 October and Friday, 31 October by prior appointment. Lists are posted in the St Barbara and Zwergenstübchen daycare centres. All other parents will be invited by the school in writing to a personal appointment. The registered children should be brought to the school at this appointment. Registration, a joint discussion and a school play with the children will take place there (about 30 minutes per registration).
