Metal thieves at the town hall: Rain standpipe stolen again

Bestwig. Metal thieves were once again at work at the Bestwig town hall: a copper rainwater standpipe was stolen, while the downpipe and lightning protection system were also damaged. The standpipe on the south side of the building was broken off with tools and stolen by unknown persons between Friday, 1 August and Monday, 4 August. Property damage totalling 500 euros was caused.

The municipality of Bestwig has pressed charges. As is usual in such cases, the municipality of Bestwig is also offering a reward of 500 euros for information leading to the perpetrator or perpetrators. Please contact the police on 0292/90200.
