B7n line determination procedure: Publication of the documents starts on 28 April
The publication of all documents that can be viewed in the line determination procedure with environmental impact assessment for the B7n will start next Monday, 28 April 2025. For one month, up to and including 27 May 2025, they will be published digitally on the website of the Federal Highway Authority and the federal government's uvp portal as well as displayed in analogue form in the respective town halls so that the affected public can view them. Written objections can be submitted up to and including 27 June 2025.
The B7n motorway is currently in the alignment process. This procedure confirms the planned route to the project developer, and therefore Straßen.NRW, on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition to the road construction design and the traffic study, the documents required for this include the preparation of an environmental impact study (EIS) in order to identify areas with as few conflicts as possible. This is carried out in accordance with §§ 18 ff. UVPG (Environmental Impact Assessment Act) as well as all planning documents including drawings and explanations will be available online and in analogue form from 28 April.
Presentation of the documents in the town halls
The line determination procedure provides a preparatory basic decision, which is solely of internal administrative significance - as a binding basis for subsequent planning. The affected public can submit objections to one of the three affected municipalities where the documents are available until one month after the end of the public display period at the latest, i.e. up to and including 27 June 2025. Statements and comments on the environmental impact of the project must be submitted in writing.
