Asphalt work: Do not park vehicles on the carriageway

Bestwig. To keep the roads running safely and smoothly in the future: In the municipality of Bestwig, a number of road rehabilitation and renewal measures will be starting shortly.

The so-called DSK method will be used in many areas. The abbreviation stands for "thin asphalt surface courses in cold construction". This method eliminates rutting, increases skid resistance, seals open road surfaces and enhances the appearance of the road surface.

The road repairs will begin on Wednesday, 23 July and are expected to last until the end of August. The areas affected in Velmede are Wiemecker Straße, Wilmes Kamp and Zum Schützenplatz (parking area in the area of Dr Gößmann's practice and other buildings), in Bestwig the Wilhelm-Busch-Weg, the Steinweg in Heringhausen and in Ramsbeck the areas of Valmestraße between houses no. 3 to 7 and at house no. 11.

The municipality of Bestwig asks that no vehicles be parked on the carriageway. It is also possible that driveways may not be usable for short periods of time. The municipality of Bestwig relies on the understanding of road users in the event of possible restrictions.
